Indie Authors
An indie author is someone who publishes their books independently without the support of a big publishing company.
We take care of everything ourselves, including editing, cover design, marketing, and printing, often paying for it all out of pocket. The more pages a book has, the higher the printing cost, and quality art for covers or illustrations can be very expensive. That is why our books can sometimes cost a bit more.
When you buy directly from an indie author or support their merch, you are not just getting a story. You are helping fund important parts of the process like art, ISBNs, editing, and copyright certificates. Your support means everything and helps us keep creating more stories for you to enjoy.
Indie Authors & Book Reviews
Leaving a review is one of the most powerful ways you can support an indie author. Reviews on platforms like Amazon and Goodreads help give books more visibility, build trust with new readers, and even affect how often the book is shown in search results. Sharing your thoughts, even just a few sentences, makes a huge difference.
You can still leave a review on Amazon even if you did not buy the book there, as long as you have an active Amazon account. Talking about the book on TikTok, posting on social media, or simply telling your friends and family helps spread the word and means the world to us.
Every review and recommendation helps stories reach more hearts.
Indie Authors & Royalties
When you buy a book from an indie author through another party like Amazon, it’s important to know that we don’t keep the full price you pay.
For example, if a book is priced at $20 on Amazon, the author might only earn around $5 after printing costs and Amazon’s cut. Platforms like Amazon take a percentage of every sale, and for print books, they also subtract the cost of printing which can be higher the more pages a book has. That means only a small portion actually goes to the author.
Supporting indie authors directly, when possible, helps us keep more of our earnings so we can continue writing and creating the stories you love.
